| | We can advise you on how to get the most from your wine vacation with self-guided wine tours or can take you for a chauffeured wine tour in Provence and to other vine-yards in the south of France. You can choose be a half or full-day wine tour on a variety of local wine-routes. Guests can then be free to enjoy their wine holiday at leisure with plenty of free wine-tasting at some of the many vine-yards in the region, with no worries about driving home!

a. Chateauneuf-du Pape e.g. Nalys, Vatican and the superb wines of Trintignan.
b. Vacqueras –less well known than Chateauneuf, but only a few miles away, with wines of similar quality but very reasonably priced. At Chateau de Roques there is a very interesting tour of the remarkable caves with a tasting (if available) of the next years production prior to bottling.
c. Costieres de Nimes- with a visit to Chateau St Andreas and a tour of the caves. Associated with this vineyard is a branch in the Camargue soon to produce Sable wine. Visits here can include looking at their rice fields and production. In September and early October rides on the huge machines used to harvest the rice can be arranged.
d. Les Baux de Provence- the nearest route to the Villa, with Mas de St Berthe and Gourgonnier just a few minutes away.
e. Aix de Provence with vine-yards extending to St Remy, 15 minutes away. Chateau Romanin is set into the Alpilles in a very remote location and although hard to find is well worth the visit.
f. St Chinian, Faugeres, Sable and Coteaux du Languedoc routes are also easily accessible in a day. |
Wine can be purchased during your holiday from the vineyards visited and stored in our cool cellars prior to departure, or alternatively consumed before if preferred! Many of the fine wines tasted on the wine-routes are available with dinner at La Pinede hotel guest-house on your return from a serious day of free wine-tasting!.
Wine-tours can be customized to include visits to local attractions or associated towns on or near the wine-routes such as the medieval walled town of Aigues Mortes (Sable), Lodeve (Faugeres), Aix en Provence, Chateauneuf village and castle ruins, Montpellier (Coteaux du Languedoc) and Les Baux de Provence castle and walled town. Day trips to Sable and Costieres de Nimes vineyards can include a picnic and most of the day on the wild, unspoilt and uncrowded beaches of St Maries de la Mer or Piemanson in the Camargue, preceded or followed by wine-tastings- and during if wanted!
